Should I get a breast cancer support tattoo? As a show of support for a family member who is going through breast cancer treatment, some of the other family members (My wife, daughter and niece) are discussing geting a small pink ribbon tattoo as show of support. How about for me? I have no tattoos right now but I have donated to the Komen Breast Cancer foundation for years, walked/run in the race for the cure multiple times and have a family history of cancer. With genetics the way they are, my wife and daughter are probable canidates to be affected by breast cancer. My daughter kinda gave me a look when I said that I wanted to participate, like maybe it should be a girl thing. What do you think? Maybe right back of shoulder?

I am looking for a sterling silver cuff bracelet for Melanoma Cancer support. All I can find is Breast Cancer. My mom is fighting Melanoma Cancer that has spread to her lungs. I am looking for a specific type of bracelet to buy to show support. Everytime I see a sterling silver cuff bracelet it is in support of breast cancer, I would like to see my profits go to finding a cure for melanoma cancer. Althoough the color is black I would prefer a solid sterling silver cuff bracelet. The one I saw and loved had a silver awareness ribbon soldered on it. It was very classic looking and could be worn in at all types of occassions.

I know it's not a lot, but I'm kind of broke at the moment. Thanks
Breast Cancer survivor support ?I have a friend who's daughter just survived a long battle with Breast cancer, she had some very strong chemo treatments done. It's left her weak, sick, and barely able to get around. To add to that her and her husbnad are having issues. Is there any place she can go, to get the rest and care she needs, along with support to get through this. ?

Does anyone find it weird that dairy company's support breast cancer research with their pink ribbon yogurDespite the fact that dairy has been shown to contribute to all forms of cancer especially breast cancer
Breast Cancer?I'm 17 and a senior at highschool and a student at the School of Nursing and I'm a huge advocate for Breast Cancer research and support. I'm always wearing my pink ribbon and my pink ribbon necklace and I have many breast cancer/pink ribbon clothing articles. Since it's breast cancer awareness month I tried to see what my community//county and surronding cities are doing to support...........and I found out...completely nothing. At the highschool football games I take donations and sell pink ribbons. I'm getting some pretty positive responses from this but I need more. Does anyone know where I can get free materials for breast cancer awareness other than just printing stuff off the internet?
I just got an e-mail saying, "Support Breast Cancer"?what should i do? I like breasts and hate cancer...
Breast Cancer Survivor support groups? My best friend is currently recovering from a mastectomy. She said she'd rather poke her eyes out than go to a support group. Her concern is that they would be too negative and not helpful. She's pretty sensitive to/not interested in wallowing (and has the impression that the groups/meetings would be very much about that). She's all about moving on and seeing this experience as positively as possible (she is an inspiration!). She could use some support and conversation from others that have been through it. I suggested that maybe there are some groups out there that are all about positivity...though I have no clue where. Can anyone suggest a good one (or more)? She lives in the Northeast US. Online sites would be good too. Thank you!
Does searching on Lookpink really support Breast Cancer? For the past 2weeks I've been using LookPink to search. I have a favorite's list which could speedily take me to the site I please, but I figure if I can help someone by searching through lookpink then why not. I'm really just curious because I don't mind searching through lookpink but if it really has no effect as far as there being a donation or something positive of that sort everytime I search then I dont want to waste my time. That's it, have a Great Weekend! "2008 Wishing GOD'S BEST for you!"
How do I change my home page to support breast cancer?where yahoo will donate $1 to Komen Foundation, if one changes their home page.

Breast cancer? Are there any particular stores where you can purchase things like hats or t-shirts to show support for women with breast cancer? I know you can buy some things online, but I was hoping to buy some things at an actual store. My aunt has breast cancer and things are getting pretty tough for her right now. I want to buy some cool shirts or hats for some family members. Thanks I'm in Canada, so I was wondering if maybe stores like Walmart or Sears would have anything.
Do Women Ignore their Dads, Sons Who Die From Prostate Cancer While Supporting Breast Cancer?Prostate cancer kills 1/2 as many people as breast cancer. Lots of women have dads, sons who either did or will die from prostate cancer. Do those women, if they are married, make sure that their families give equal support to the men in their lives? Do women care more about their moms and daughters than they care about their dads and sons? (Breast cancer research gets 10 times as much money as prostate cancer research.) A male (FDR) made sure that women were taken care of in their old age. Do women care about men? Have you ever seen a dad shrivel from 200 pounds to 65 pounds because of prostate cancer? Will Hillary show a sign of "greatness" and make sure that male cancers get fair attention? The silence is deafening.
Do bra manufacturers offer support to breast cancer victims? I think I phrased that wrong, but I think you can answer it anyhow. No, I couldn't find anything either. Puns and jokes are almost natural for me, but I was not trying for that this time. My brain just tends to go that way, and after I entered the question it seemed simpler to just leave it. I could think of no better way to put it. I was thinking more of advice, research funding, maybe some medical aids, cosmetic prosthetics. Stuff like that. So far pink promo bras have been mentioned, and some specialized undergarments. I thought for sure there would be more involvement because of how close breasts and bras are, (awkward to say that) but again you know what I mean, it would seem like a natural fit. It even lends itself to advertising slogans, discreet ones of course. I guess cancer is just to scarey for them to approach.
Do you show your support for breast cancer awareness and research by wearing a pink bracelet? If not, could you? Please? You can buy 36 of them for less than 4 dollars at any Walmart or Target, among many other places, and a portion of the proceeds goes to a great cause. If your favorite store does not sell them, ask the manager why not. Coop, if you are really that callous and shallow, please find another venue for your entertainment. Thanks coop, and I am glad you could set me straight; all types cancer are worthy of our attention.

I just found out I have breast cancer... I need some support so please no smart ass comments...?I learned on Friday, I have breast cancer in both breasts. Doctor did not discuss lumpectomy, but did talk mastectomy. The lumps in both breasts are about the size of ping pong balls and the right side has a lymph node that has been affected. I want to make it clear that I did not wait to have this checked into. My old doctor refused to diagnose it when I went to him. He said it was nothing to worry about. and would do no testing. I found this new doctor in September and upon doing this physical he found the large lumps. His reaction when I saw him for the results of the mammogram were, It is very bad, very bad. I am terrified right now and feel like I am going out of my mind. I need hope right now. Has anyone suffered similarly and have had a good outcome.

Is there an online support group for women with edema from breast cancer? My 66 year old mother starts physical therapy today. She had cancer almost 15 years ago and was shocked that it developed so late after her treatments! Her physical therapist is very nice and well informed but I think it'd be beneficial for her to talk to others with this condition. She has it in her hand and her arm (mostly in her hand though). Her hand is like 3x normal size. I know it really bothers her. She was not happy to learn that she has to wear a wrap or sleeve almost 20 hours every day. I feel so bad for her. I thought the support group might help.
Do you know of a support group for partners of people with breast cancer? My partner and I have been together 3 and a half years. Last Tuesday she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her surgery is Friday. It would be very helpful if I had a group to "talk" to. We are a lesbian couple, in the south. We are also biracial and her family would not appreciate me being there. Anyone have any ideas?

How do you start a non-profit business interested in supporting Breast cancer and Childrens cancers research.?Last year my husband and I set up and ran a haunted house in our garage/basement and the turnout in our town was tremendous. Strictly from advertising in with local signs on the side of the road we had over 1000 people on Halloween night. We would like to do this on a higher level and rent out a space in town and do it as a nonprofit business. How do you get grants and things to start up a nonprofit, can I go directly to the companies that we will be allocating the funds too or what?
