Male breast cancer....?I've been looking around on the internet....and think I might have breast cancer......ya I'm male and it's kind of embarrising to talk about, but anyways....I know what a normal breast area should look like, but mine is different. If I feel my nipple, there seems to be something under both of them, and it's noticable. Plus, it causes pangs of pain when Im not even touching them, and gives out a considerable amount of pain when touched. Plus, they aren't even with my skin. They puff out about a couple centimeters. Also, It's been like this for a couple years but was to embarrased to go to somebody about it until now. Anyone know what this is? Whats a normal procedure cost to do a check up? We don't have any health insurance at the moment....
Does anybody have a good slogan for male breast cancer?I am organizing a Race for the Cure team for a male relative with breast cancer. I'm looking for a funny/catchy slogan to put on the back of the team t-shirts. The honoree was a math teacher, tennis coach, and wrestling coach and we've thought about tieing that in on the shirt somehow.

Is it breast cancer, hormones, or what for a male?At 19 years old, I'm getting sharp pains in my nipples and there are lumps underneath them, what does it mean? I'm really worried because they hurt so bad and what my doctor told me to do hasn't worked. He said to slow down on caffiene and take more vitamin E but they seem like they've gotten worse. He also said they'd be gone in a month or so and it's been 2 months. I'm really worried.
So october is breast cancer awareness month eh. I'm guessing every male has made at least one joke by now?seeing as how october is all of 3 days old im guessing they all fall along the lines of: "oh im definitely aware of breasts!" "if any girls need help examining their breasts, i'm willing to do this" "mmm, boobies, yay" but i won't make a joke, because i have that much class. ok, that and because i'm sure all the decent ones have been taken (seriously though, stop donating money and start donating education, make sure all the women in your life that you adore and worship get yearly mammograms every year if they are over 40, and self exam monthly if they are past 25) "i dont make jokes about cancer" oh golly gee beaver it sure is nice in fairy tale land back in the real world, cancer jokes are lots of fun. and if you haven't realized that sometimes the best you can do is joke about thing you can't understand then you've got some learnin' to do beaver

My sister had breast cancer...then had a geneology test years later..?MY sister had breast cancer in 2003, and has no signs of it returning. Her Dr reccomended a Cancer Genealogy test. Well, we got the results and she has a 95% chance of breast or Ovarian cancer( My mom passed from ovarian cancer in 2002). That will go down to 5% after a hysterectomy. It also says that I have a 50% chance of getting Breast cancer even being a male(34yrs old). Is anyone familiar with these tests? Men get breast cancer?
(Male) pea sized chest bump, middle of chest (not over fleshy part)?I have a colorless pea (very slightly smaller) sized bump in the middle of my chest and another smaller than that sized bump (half that size) an inch away. I'm slender and these bumps are in that middle chest rib bone area not the fleshy part of the chest. The bumps are colorless and under the skin, no itching, no pain to the touch. You can't see them they are not raised but you can feel them. I had one of these bumps for a long time maybe a year, it seemed to be slightly smaller at that time. From what I know they don't correspond to the symptoms of male breast cancer which seems to be bumps or swelling over the fleshy part of the chest, one side or the other, usually involving the nipple. They don't seem seem to correspond to skin cancer because that usually involves discoloration. What could they be?
Friends dad has cancer? My friends dad just found out he has male breast cancer, and he had the lump removed but he still has it, but she has no idea how to cope with it. I don't remember how exactly I coped when my mom was diagnosed with malignant melanoma. She needs some ideas for coping. Help? By the way guys, when I say friend- I really mean friend. Not me. I couldn't care less about my own father. My own mom went through it, and she is still here. But really, it is a friends father.
17 yr old male with lump on my left nipple......I'm getting annoyed?Hi, For over 5 yrs now I've had a lump on my left nipple, my right is perfectly fine, it's just my left nipple that's affected.....I went to the doc a few yrs back and he said that it can't be male breast cancer and that it's perfectly normal. He said it's all part of going through puberty....However I'll be 18 in less than a month and I've still got that same lump on my left nipple...it's really pissing me off, I have a feeling that If I see another doc again he will say the same thing.... What should I do ? I did some reasearch and found out that this condition is called, gynecomastia....does anyone share similar experience ? Is there any way to get rid of this permanentely, without surgery ?
I'm a 16 male and and I feel something abnormal underneath my right nipple? Is this due to going through adolescence or could this be a symptom of male breast cancer? I worry about these things, I'm going to see the doctor in a couple of days but I just wondered what you guys thought? Cheers It feels as if there is something underneath it. It looks normal but a little raised not swollen. It is tender though.

Am I too young to have breast cancer?Am I too young to have breast cancer? The past two generations of my family (males & females) have died from cancer. I am 25 years old, last week I found what seems tobe a lump in my breast. I'm not even sure what would be considered a "lump" medically speaking. It is on the outer part of my breast, closer to my armpit. It feels like a small pebble in the tissue, but not in my skin. It isn't painful, but I definately panicked when I found it. Could it be cancer?
Hey guys. How many of you are as pissed off as I am about the inequities of male vs female cancer research? It seems like all the support and research money goes to breast and cervical cancer research while testicular and prostate cancer are all but forgotten about. Hell, there are a couple thousand breast cancer foundations but I cant find 1 testicular or prostate organization. They now even have a supposed vaccine to prevent cervical cancer. Wheres the research or development for all us? All I want is some equality in the research time, money, and in treatment. I've even called places like American Cancer Society, civic groups, many other non profit organizations nobody wants to do anything to help with this or start an organization. So I wanted to hear all your feedback

If you are a chemo oncologist and you have a breast cancer patient who has gone from aggressive Stage IIIC nonhormonal receptive Breast Cancer to a Stage IV Lung Cancer from the breast, and your patient has an exotic male neuterred housecat in her trailer who she loves and kisses on the mouth and fur and does not bathe or wipe with a damp cloth, what would you recommend she do with that cat for her health? You have already told your patient that their cancer if from an outside source, not from inside her body! You have told the patient that if she does not remove the source, the cancer will come back no matter how much chemo she gets! The "quack" as it were is Alexander Hoffman of University of California, San Diego. Look him up. friendly could you write me an email to skahhh@yahoo.com. I would like to get you in touch with my daughter. She is 30. An aunt that she communicated with died recently of adenocarcinoma. Thanks.
Why is more money being spent Prevention/Detection of Breast Cancer than there is on Prostate Cancer?Twelve times as many Males die each year of Prostate Cancer complications that Females do of Breast Cancer complications. Money spent on the prevention/detection/cure of Breast cancer is four times the money spent on the prevention/detection/cure of Prostate Cancer? What is the reason for this?
First Lady Laura Bush in Saudi Arabia to promote Breast Cancer Awareness?Breast cancer is a taboo subject among many Saudi Arabian people. Many women will not go to a male doctor or have a lump in their breast checked out. Some women die needlessly.
Breast cancer?I am a fourteen year old male and I feel a lump on my left teat. Do I have breast cancer?
What religion prevents women from seeking treatment for breast cancer? And on what grounds?“One Saudi woman ignored the cancer growing in her breast because she didn't want to risk a referral to a male doctor. Another was divorced by her husband on the mere suspicion she had the disease, while a third was dragged away from a mammogram machine because the technicians were men.” “Breast cancer is the No. 1 killer of women in the United Arab Emirates, according to official statistics, with many dying because the stigma surrounding the disease prevents them from seeking early detection.” http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071024/ap_on_he_me/saudi_breast_cancer Guess what religion it is that scares women into living with (and dying of) cancer because treatment might violate “moral” standards -- that is, necessitate an examination by a male doctor? (Here’s a hint: it’s an Abrahamic religion, but it’s neither Judaism nor Christianity) AngelsAndJinns: that's not culture. How do you explain that the same "culture" can be found in Islamic countries around the world? If you argument is that Islam imports "culture", then you are on the right track (it's not "culture", though, so much as uniform repression); but if you want to argue that problems like these are cultural NOT religious, you need to explain why these elements of "culture" exist throughout the Muslim world (be it in Europe, the middle east, etc.) Finally Mrs.B: Just because it's not the STATE preventing women from seeking treatment, that in no way invalidates the claim that this prevention is religiously motivated; the religious direction simply occurs on an individual or family level, rather than a national level. shab m and CuteMe: The idea that a woman cannot be alone with a man comes directly from Islamic law. The article says many times that one of the chief reasons that these women do not seek treatment is that they fear (or someone else fears) that they will be alone with a male doctor. This is not cultural; it’s Islamic. In how many Islamic countries, after all, is it a crime for unrelated women and men to be alone together? Just recently some Muslim fruitcake divorced his wife because she was “alone” with a man -- that is to say, she watched a television show hosted by a man while alone. In Pakistan, I believe, a young (unrelated) couple recently caused a massive traffic accident to avoid being caught by police after committing the “crime” of being alone together. These things come from Islamic law codes, not culture; that’s why many Muslims across the globe believe (and act) the same.
