Is it weird to have my bridal shower theme be "breast cancer awareness?I am really supportive of breast cancer awareness and i figured instead of a traditional favor (candle,pic frame, candy) i wanted to donate money to a breast cancer foundation. I also want to give pamplets out at the tables and pins and my game gift will be based around products that donate money when purchased like at bed bathe beyond and such. Will my family think something is wrong with me. Is it weird. This is a womens function and what better then this. cancer runs thru my family.

Pink for breast cancer..?Im seeing pink for the cure products everywhere, so Im sure by now there must be TONS of money for this cause. Im just wondering what sort of impact this is having, are we any closer to finding a cure? or is the majority of this money going towards breast cancer awareness? Because I am aware that people get brest cancer, but I dont know why they get it, how to prevent it, or anything about it..I never hear about any of that. Also, is breast cancer the only kind of cancer that doesnt have a cure yet, or is it the only one they decided to market? It seems unfair to put so much money into one illness, and not any others?

Too much pink? Are survivors offended?When I shop, I will buy items that say they donate to breast cancer awareness if I am going to buy that product anyway, but does it seem like every manufacturer is jumping on a bandwagon to make a profit? Do we really need to spend $7 for a jar of jam so they can send $0.50 to a foundation when we could spend $2 for jam and send $5 ourselves? Wouldn't that make more sense? Or are most people less inclined to make their own donations, good as their intentions are - so it's better to buy the products to ensure that at least something is getting done?

CANCER...do you..?do you participate in the oct fund and awareness raising program benifitting breast cancer research?why?do you enlist others to eat yogurt,turn in tops of products marked for this fund raiser? do you think ill raise awareness with my question,or motivate some to just answer heartlessly/ignorantly for pts?

Inspirational Quotes?I am making a flyer for a fundraiser. I am a Mary Kay beauty consultant.. and with October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month we are giving free facials to woman and then they will be ordering products. 50% of the proceeds will go to the Mary Kay Cancer fund. Anyways I am trying to think of an inspirational quote to put at the bottom of my flyer... any ideas? Its not the new Host A Class, Help A Cause... its a facial marathon that me and a few other beaty consultants are hosting.

Tips on where ladies go?So I am a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, I decided that 10% of the sales I make Sept and Oct will go to our Cancer foundation. I am looking for places to advertise this and maybe have drawings to get ladies to enter their names if they are interested in our products. I already thought of Curves but another MK lady is there... where else do a lot of women go? Otherwise do you have ideas of how I could raise a lot of money these next couple months?

Beverage companies that donate money to a charity?I need a specific company that donates money based off the profit of their product (a beverage product) to a particular charity. For example... if Tropicana donated every .25 cents from their profits to breast cancer awareness. or Ethos, a water beverage sold at Starbucks, donates its profits to help third world countries with better water supply. I appreciate anyone that could help!

What can I personally do to truly help the fight against cancer?Think of all the "PINK" products you see in the store- Buy this pink tooth brush, pin, hat, mug car magnet and 5% of the price will be donated to the fight against breast cancer. Sure, it costs the same as the regular item that I was already going to buy so why not go for the pink? But are those few extra cents REALLY going to the good use stated? What about other types of cancers? There are a few people in my life with one each a diffrent type of cancer and I want to raise awareness and give my money where it counts. What can I personally do to truly help the fight against cancer?
