Breast cancer support group?

What is a good, inexpensive way to advertise the start of a breast cancer support group? Would a newspaper donate ad space for something like this? Thanks!

1. I'd be surprised if a newspaper wouldn't donate ad space. A lot of papers also have a community bulletin section or something along those lines. Small community papers would be more likely to donate space or even do a small article on it.
   
   You could put up flyers at the hospital if they would let you. You might try to put up flyers at local non-profit agencies and community centres. They usually have bulletin boards, but you usually have to ask before you put up a flyer. I wish you all the best!
2. Go to yahoo groups and you will find a lot of online groups.
   If you want an in person support group, check with the hospital that is treating you.They may already have a group or let you put up flyer's in their offices.
