2. DES is not a popular drug because of its side effects. It has not been made in the U.S. since 1997 when Eli Lily stopped its manufacture due to lack of sales. In pregnant women, it is a tetragen. It makes their daughters sterile and at an increase risk for cancer, and it makes their sons have a higher risk for cancer. DES was approved for advanced prostate cancer and breast cancer therapy for post-menopausal women.
   Indomethacin (NSAID) and warfarin (blood thinner) are approved prescription medications in the U.S.
   Herbal medications are not allowed to make any claims of cure. As soon as they do, it becomes a drug. They then have to go through the new drug trial process to prove the claim.
   The FDA normally fast tracks promising cancer drugs.
