Breast Cancer Survior- how to help others after I already helped myself?

OK I am a survivor and I want to know, Is there any way to reach out to other survivors. I remember how hard it was for me being so young and having it, and the fact there was really no one out there that could give any solid support. People act like it is something shameful... Any Ideas? I tried to start a support group but I am only 23 and so people that are older and that go though the same things don't relate, was not very successful

  1. Depending on where you live, you can plug into an existing structure, like the Susan G. Komen Foundation, which sponsors the Breast Cancer 3-Day walks. You'll meet a lot of women in these walks, and there is a diversity of women who have had breast cancer and a lot more who haven't. But the issue is obviously important to all of them because they're willing to raise $2,200 and walk 60 miles in support of the cause. As a guy, I'm even doing this because my Mom is currently suffering from breast cancer that has spread to the lungs, bones and lymph nodes.

God bless you for wanting to help others. I'm thankful you're doing well and I will pray that you'll never re-experience this disease.
  2. Start a support group.
  3. find out if there is any tv show in wich they may talk about breast cancer. tell them your story and you might get lucky. I fear cancer because i have a mole on my chest and the skin around it is very white all the time and I saw on a tv show that it might be a skin cancer sign.
  4. Im with you,I was diagnosed at 31 and its been 3 years since that fateful day.....hope you bounce back real soon....from one survivor to another
