I'm Looking for breast cancer awareness stuff?
I'm really active in supporting cancer awareness. My mom recently died, and I feel like the only way to get over it is helping in any way I can. What I'm asking is if you kno wany sites that sell breast cancer awareness, or any cancer awareness, merchandise? Like, pins, shirts, bags, stuff like that? Thanks

- Try some of the following sites:
www.breastcancer.org
www.komen.org
www.nationalbreastcancer.org
www.pinkribbonshop.com
www.breastcancerawareness.com
www.cancer.org (American Cancer society)
www.wearyellow.com (lance armstrong foundation--not breast cancer specific)
or simply google it. Good luck!
- I've ordered from pinkribbonshop.com and savethetatas.com. I know that the Susan G Komen foundation also has items.
Some people will tell you to order off Ebay. Please don't. People that sell pink ribbon items on ebay are pocketing the money. Purchase from somewhere that part of the proceeds go directly to breast cancer research!!!!
- There are some sites that sell like on Ebay that do fund raisers. Also if you look in some Walmart stores and at one time Avon, they sell various items that are for breast cancer. You may also want to check out the web site for the American Cancer Society and just make a donation that way.
- I'm sorry to hear that. My grandmother passed away with breast cancer before I was born. It is really sad, and I think raising breast cancer awareness is a really great idea. I have found many different websites that might be very helpful to you.

- It all over the 'net. Just google breast cancer.
- Watch it! I see so many places using the cancer thing as a sales gimmick. My friend bought me a pink crystal bracelet as an awareness item - it was a nice gift for a survivor - when I want to the web site to order one for another friend after her surgery I found that it was $135. and "a portion of the profits" went to breast cancer awareness. If I use up all my profits by paying myself high wages, then that doesn't amount to much and was just about the most ridiculous thing I've seen. You can buy a mixer on sale or you can buy the pink "awareness" model - which is never on sale - and a portion will go to some foundation or other. My suggestion is to make you donations directly and just ask every woman you meet to be sure to get a mammogram. It is a nice thought on your part, but there is a lot of miss direction of funds out there with every middle man taking his cut.
