Is it illegal to copy a photo of a breast cancer awareness ribbon,a butterfly,a singel rose in my blog?

i copied photos of a single rose, pink breast cancer awareness ribbon,butterflies i searched for on internet to use in my blog. is this illegal?

1. the only way its not illegal is if you get permission from the owner of the photos are licensed under creative commons (which has certain restrictions that may be applied.
   
   Normal photos you find on the internet are not licensed under creative commons.
