Breast Cancer Advice Center

We would like to start a 'patient support group' for breast cancer patients. Any ideas how to go about it?

The group comprises of military associated patients.

  1. Here's a good start. It's not a cancer group but they have some good ideas.

  2. Contact your local hospital they can help. Once you get one started a lot of the newspapers, radio and T.V. stations will air a P.S.A. (Public Service Announcement) for free. Good Luck. You also may want to contact the American Cancer Society for options.
  3. start your own chat room, i would love to join, kudos to you!
  4. get them to meet once a week, and do any walks?
  5. That's a very good idea. i know that there are Breast cancer patients that feel so alone in the world and it would be great for them to have the support from people going Through the same thing. You could call the local hospital and they might be able to help you. You could get a room for the group to met in. use word of mouth, flayers and contact your local news papers and TV stations. another idea is to find other support groups and ask them for advice. Bless you for doing this.
