Poem for breast cancer awareness month...its really bad but yeah....check it outties!?

I wasn't but 12 when I got you Now I am 30 and losing the fight. They told me it was a matter of life They said it was all I had to do. The tests, exams, and visits I couldn't bare it anymore The long days of wondering when I'll be better I prayed everyday for it to go away, Please help Oh Lord! It grew more each day They said I would lose the battle one day If it was ridden of So I let them take it..they took it all. Now like a child I lie in the bed Crying and wondering really why me? Why did I have to lose it all to breast cancer...... The poem is not about me its just for breast cancer in general and all the women who have dealt with it or are dealing with it! I wrote it because it is breast cancer awareness month...

4. I'm not sure breast cancer awareness month is about depicting breast cancer as a death sentence. Perhaps a poem where the cancer doesn't destroy the speaker's life would be more appropriate.
