Breast Cancer Walk-a-thon. HELP?

I really want to host a walk-a-thon in my city to support Breast Cancer, but have no clue how to do it. Where do I start? How do I get my idea approved and by who? What needs to be done as far as advertisement? ...etc Please help!!

1. Check out the American Cancer Society web site and they have a great deal of information for walk-a-thons and other fund raisers. They will even lead you to organizations right in your city or community that you can get to help sponsor Breast Cancer Screening Health fairs and use of the Mammogram mobile as well as help with advertisement. There is a lot of information out there about this issue and your neighborhood hospital is also a good resource as well as the community public health department. I hope this help and GOOD LUCK!
