Are there any any specific symptoms for breast cancer?

Hi, I never really had alot of breast to worry about until I fell pregnant twice amd miscarried twice this year. The pregnancies were really close together so I put on about 10 kg and grew breasts. About 2 months after my second miscarriage I still had the breasts I had grown. I had never done breast checks before and it was only a coincedence that I noticed a big lump in my left breast, my gyno sent me 4 ultrasound and left it to the radiologist to decide whether a biopsy was necesary, I did not receive a biopsy. There were about 5 cysts found in my left breast one being a cluster of cysts. When I had my appointment with my gyno I forgot to take the ultrasounds. So my Mum faxed the the report of the images to my Dr as soon as she got home. It turns out her fax wasnt operating properly that day and so she took the ultrasounds and report into my gyno, first thing the next morning he was on the phone to my Mum telling her to bring me in for a refferal for a biopsy- should I b worried?

  1. "Specific" symptoms for cancer anywhere are non-existent, as cancer is only diagnosed after taking a biopsy( can be small piece of the lesion or all of it) and studying it under microscope(histopathlogy).
Anyway, for breast cancer there are some symptoms if they are present then cancer must be rolled out ( by biopsy),
These are: The presence of lump, ulcer....(compare with the other side), bleeding per nipple, retracted nipple, changes in the skin (e.g. orange(fruit not as color)skin, dimpled), and the presence of enlarged regional lymph nodes( small masses in the arm pit).
So, the good doctor should do a lot of biopsies and a lot should be negative for cancer, if every biopsy he takes turn out be positive, then he is not a good doctor because for sure he is missing cases.
DO THE BIOPSY, AND DO NOT WORRY.
