IBC-Inflammatory Breast Cancer...are you familiar with this?
I just read an article forwarded to me by a friend and I would like to know how many women, or even men, know about this silent killer.
I just wanted to prove what the article said that most people are not familiar with this cancer...so just a "yes" if you know about it and a "no" if otherwise...

- I had never heard of this until now. And I work for a consultant who specialises in breast cancer treatment.
- I agree with the votes. This only goes to show that IBC-Inflammatory Breast Cancer should be given more exposure regarding what it is and what it does to women all over the world. Thanks a lot to those who voted. Spread the word around, who knows we might be able to save a life.
- my aunt had one but she took it out
- Is there something in particular you would like to know? It is a variant of ductal cancer, tends to be very aggressive, although not untreatable. Generally it is treated primarily with chemotherapy and radiation, then surgery.
- IBC is where the cancer cells block the lymph vessels, causing the breast to become red and inflamed. Although rare, it is more common in younger women.
