True Urban Legend: Undetectable Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Have you heard of it?

PLEASE READ THE LINK. http://www.komotv.com/ibc/ I don't think there's a clinical test for it. It can't be picked up by a mammogram, you can only tell by the symptoms listed in the article.

Public Comments

  1. No. It is undetectable by traditional methods.

Traditional = archaic, stone age tools.

    It is detectable and treatable.

Signs include: a sunburn like rash, breast bruising, itching skin that's thickened or dimpled, warm swollen breasts, sharp shooting pain, and flattened or inverted nipple.
  2. nope
  3. So is there a test for it?
  4. I did not read your entire link, however, I did see a news report on it recently and read up on it a couple of weeks ago. This is very real.
  5. It is very real, I have a friend that has it. By the time they actually found it , it was so big she had to do 8 month of chemo, after that Mastectomy and more chemo. The cancer has spread to her spine and there is nothing they can do except chemo and radiation.
  6. I had breast cancer last year and attend weekly support groups and we did discuss this at a recent meeting based upon the link you attached with your question. The nurse that heads up the support group stated it is a true story and there is such a thing as Infammatory Breast Cancer. Scary thought, is it not???
