Breast Cancer? Red spot on my breast- SCARED! please help?

About 3 months ago I woke up with something that looked like a spider bite, and it bled for about 2 or 3 days and hurt to the touch. I guess you could say it "healed" because it stopped bleeding and it doesnt hurt or itch, but now it just looks like a bruise that wont go away its been there for about 3 months. Now I have heard of something called Inflammatory Breast Cancer, and I have read up on it and Its symptoms and I know they said it might look something like an insect bite or bruise that doesnt go away and when I read it I got a little scared, but I dont have the itching or enlargement of the breast, no inverted nipple, swelling or any other symptoms really. So can cancer still be a possibility? Does it manifest itself in different ways with different women? and Im only 20 years old.I went to urgent care - the doctor said " It doesnt LOOK like cancer, and gave me some ointment to put on it. He said to put it on for 10 days and check back with him. Any help would be appreciated.

  1. It is VERY unlikely for you to get breast cancer at the age of 20. And if the doctor said it didn't look like cancer then no it's not cancer. If there was a lump, dimpling, or your skin changing color then you should be worried. But I really doubt you have breast cancer, but if you want to be really sure schedule an app. for a mammogram.
  2. First of all don't go crazy reading the internet!!!Try the cream then i would see your primary care doctor or if you have a gynocologist. Then you can take from there get a second opinion.Just stay calm and stick with one doctor it's not good to jump around.
  3. I am sure it is not breast cancer. I am a b.c. survivor. Cancer is usually found to be a small hard lump that does NOT hurt. It's not usually a "red spot", it also doesnt look like a bruise.
If you are 20 you should have a mammogram to be safe. October is BREAST CANCER AWARENESS month and many places give them for free. Don't worry, just do it.
