Breast cancer. im really scared.?
this may sound bad but im 95% sure that I have breast cancer. the weird part is that i cant feel any lumps and I have thought this for at least 5 years but have been too scared to see a doctor considering 5 years ago i was 15! I do have some scaling on the nipple and little tiny bumps visible in nipple region. Needless to say im really scared to hear bad news so i have avoided the doctor for several years. Also my doctor is male and is a family friend and i think i would feel weird showing him my tatas. Who do i go to to be checked out. Help please.

- You would have more symptoms if you had breast cancer, so try not to worry. But still go and see a doctor at a womens health clinic, to settle your worries.
Good luck!
- go to a gynecologist or a breast specialist physician...some are female if you would feel less self-conscious...
- What you described sounds normal. Don't be scared. Can you talk to your mother about this and ask if you can see a doctor, maybe a woman doctor? The doctor can check you out and reassure you. It's hard to live with fear of cancer and it's better to find the answer.
- hi sweetie: your description of your breasts sounds perfectly normal. however, you should have someone look at you. try a free clinic, or a walk-in clinic.
if you are that apprehensive ask for a female doctor. as for your doc being a family friend, i wouldn't like that either. talk to mum and tell her how you feel. i am sure she will be sympathetic, she probably just hasn't thought about it from your perspective.
truthfully you are old enough to find your own doctor without your mum if you choose to.
anyway, you sound fine but you will feel better if you have it checked out! good luck!
- hey the symptoms are:-
Early breast cancer can in some cases present as breast pain mastodynia or a painful lump. Since the advent of breast mammography, breast cancer is most frequently discovered as an asymptomatic nodule on a mammogram, before any symptoms are present. A lump under the arm or above the collarbone that does not go away may be present. Other possible symptoms or medical signs include nipple discharge, bleeding from the nipple, new nipple inversion, and changes in the skin overlying the breast, often resembling an orange peel, known as. When breast cancer associates with skin inflammation, this is known as inflammatory breast cancer. In inflammatory breast cancer, the breast tumor itself is causing an inflammatory reaction of the skin, and this can cause pain, swelling, warmth, and redness throughout the entire breast.
"BUT Most breast symptoms do not turn out to represent underlying breast cancer"
But if u think there is some sort of a change then u better show it..never keep such things for tomorrow!!!Its better to show it off now...
If you feel awkward to go to a male doc go to a female gynacologist/doctor...else did u have a talk with ur mom..am sure she will be able to help u out better!!!!!!

- You definately should consult someone, i know it is scary for you. Your descriptions sound pretty normal but you need to get seen by a doctor. Try a clinic or somewhere outside your doctor if you have concerns. But don't let this run your life, take charge and get proactive about it. If you catch it now you stand a much better chance. God Bless.
- What you are describing sounds normal. Nipples do get scaly and there are natural "bumps" around the nipple on the areola that secrete a fatty substance that aids during breastfeeding. I think you're being a hypochondriac and if you really think you have breast cancer the only way to find out at the ripe old age of 20 is to have a bilateral breast ultrasound and MRI.
- Hello, firstly the longer you leave it the harder it maybe to treat IF IT IS Cancer. It may not be. There are many sings and symptons which indicate breast cancer but also are the same signs and symptons for other things too so PLEASE get yourself checked out.
Find a family planning clinic near you they WILL help you and get you checked out. You can even call into your nearest hospital and explain to them your concerns but also mention how you CANNOT go to your doctor with this. They can help you and/or give you advice on who to contact and where to go.
Best wishes
- You should go and overcome your fear if you don't then your disease will be more severe.
