- MD ANDERSON, HOUSTON, TEXAS, USA
Luckily I have not had to use this hospital, but I have several friends who have had to for various forms of cancer. Each of them has raved about how wonderful their care was and how caring all of the staff there is.
- Overall, I agree with the US News & World Report rankings of Cancer Treament Centers.
Usually, cancer is treated at a local hospital. Usually only rare and difficult to treat cases get referred to a Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC).
Each CCC treats all cancers but, have some specific cancers they do research in. For example, chronic mylegenous leukemia (MDACC, OSU), pancreatic cancer (MDACC and Duke) and, melanoma (JHU).

- Breast cancer treatment is fairly universal. You probably don't need to go to a metropolis to get the proper care. Unless you have a rare form of the disease. Good luck with treatment - a positive attitude is one of the best things you can do for yourself.
- I live in the Chicago area of the United States. We are well known for having some of the best hospitals in the world. Try a teaching hospital. Alot of times they have the cutting edge technology that you may need. Good Luck!
