What are the lasting side effects from radiation treatment for breast cancer?

  1. Suzanne Summers wrote a book that had that subject in it i read it and it was really really good it gave the pros and cons about the subject and it was also interesting what her doctor told her too. I will never take the norm treatment because there are better things for you to do. It all depends on you and what you choose not the doctor. Please research it it is worth it.
  2. Let' s see if I can remember what I was told....I know brittle ribs is one. Depending on how much the radiation hit organs, such as lungs and heart, makes a difference too. Discolored skin, brown or with little red veins, or both. And of course that radiation can cause another form of cancer.

I decided to do radiation because I had to do whatever I could to keep that cancer away. I was 29 years old with two young daughters and a loving husband that I needed to be around for. I guess time will tell on the long term side effects, but if it lets me live to see my daughters grow up, then it was worth it.
