- the very best of luck hope all ok
- The sad fact about breast cancer is that people can be considered cured and then years later, have a reoccurrence. We all hope she will get good news tomorrow.
- Your mom is very lucky because it was caught so soon. I'm sure the scan will be fine if the Dr.'s r optimistic because usually they aren't. So the odds r in your favor.
- it would be unuasal for it to come back but it can happen but dont get to down cause i have a feeling she wont get it
- Everything is going to be okay. You just have to stay positive and hope for the best. Unfortunately with breast cancer, lumps can return anytime. But I choose to believe and so should you that your mom is going to be okay. Best regards!
- Breast Cancer can come back no matter how long one was diagnosed, the 5 years do not count for B.C.
Also can can back to lungs, brain, bones, skin, eyes, etc.
Breast cancer has to be treated in a very aggresive way.
If it comes back , it can be treated, there more drugs now.
. I had B.C. 14 years ago but I make sure to have a follow up twice a year, and yes I get worried each time.
I had surgery, chemo.
- I have had breast cancer twice, once in each breast. I had lumpectomies and radiotherapy. What surprises me is that the doctor said that it would not come back. My experience of doctors is that they don't say things like that because they don't know. There are different types of breast cancer and varying rates of risk of it returning. What I do find encouraging is that she had the scan last week and they have not contacted her in the meantime to call her back in. When my second one was found, it was as the result of a mammogram and they rang me the next morning to tell me to come back to the hospital that day for scan. I was told immediately that I had another tumour. I think it sounds encouraging. I wish you all the best.
- I hope she will be fine try not to worry as this will only upset her if she thinks your worried.
Make sure you mum has a good diet with lots of greens and fresh vegetables.
- I really know how worried you must be about your mum. The doctors must have thought the likely hood of cancer coming back would be very unlikely. Try and think of something nice instead of worrying it won't make any difference. Even if there are problems tomorrow ( I am sure there won't be any) medicine is so good now it won't take long to sort them out for your mum.
- I hope your mum will be fine.
I too am very surprised to hear of a doctor telling a breast cancer patient that it would not return. Breast cancer can return at any time, even years later. Very likely they gave your mum the percentage likelihood of her cancer returning, based on her grade, stage etc, and it was very low, which is a hopeful sign.
My best wishes for your mum's results tomorrow
- No one knows what the results will say but if the doctors have said beofre it shouldnt return then i wouldnt of thought it would. There has been some cases though when people have been told they were cured and years later it did come back. I wish you and your mum all the best.
I hope everything goes well.
