One sign of breast cancer IS a lump in your breast. You should go to a medical professional for assistance. Don't leave your heath to a bunch of wannabe MD's here on YA!
You need to have your doctor look at it. You may be feeling a cyst, which is not uncommon - but any time you feel something out of the ordinary in your breast have it checked right away. And, please do not let any one tell you that you are too young for such problems - age does not play the role that so many people wish it did.

first of all, don't panic yet. it is not uncommon for women to have fibroids-little lumps--in their breasts. lots of girls have them, and i have had them all of my life. sometimes these little lumps can hurt, especially around the time of your period. staying away from caffeine and certain other foods can help ease the pain. the only way to be absolutely sure what it is or isn't is to see your doctor as soon as you can.
cancer is uncommon in someone so young. most likely its a cyst. they can be isolated (a one time event) or you may have fibrocystic breast disease (which is much less scary than it sounds). limit nicotine, caffeine, salt and sweets the week or so before your period and they we be less noticeable.
