- Breast cancer is so scary because there are no signs. There is no pain. There is just a lump. And so many women think, Well...it doesn't hurt so I'll just leave it and hope it goes away.
Wrong.
A ring-like "sign?" I don't know what a sign is. Did you lay on your breast funny? Was it caused by your bra? Are you having a discharge from the nipple? Pain? Swelling? You should see your doctor. But I am 99.9% sure it's not cancer. IBC (inflammatory breast cancer) is so rare.
- Breast Cancer symptoms usually start with a lump! If you are concerned see your GP asap!
- Keep in mind there are two types of breast cancer. There is the standard form that we hear about all over and there is one that not many people know about called IBC (Inflammatory Breast Cancer). Its hard to diagnose IBC because each month our breasts swell slightly. If you think you may have any sign of breast cancer, whether it be a lump, or something strange, seek medical help immediately. Have it looked at.
If it is something, they may be able to catch it early enough. If it isn't anything, your mind is now at ease!
Good luck and hope you're okay!
- go and get it checked by the doctor if your ever worried this shud b the first thing you do.
feel each breast with the opposite hand for any lumbs and bumbs inside, teh breast especially round the nipple will be a little lumpy due to milk glands etc but if ther are any real lumps that are more rounded then u shud defently get it check out, dont be embarrased either.
u may just have some skin irratation from ur bra or clothing or even a gnat bite it cud b any number of things even skin cancer can look like different things, but ask ur doctor ; they will know straight away.
dont forget it, go get it looked at and dont worry its probably nothing.
remmeber to check ur breasts whenever u have a shower or a few times a week, u can go on google and type breast cancer signs and find out how to check ur breasts on a regualr basis.
good luck
- Breast cancer is most insidious diseases we have - which is why we women need regular mammograms. If you have any doubt whatsoever, get thee to an OB/GYN ASAP.
- Changes to look for:
Size or shape - e.g. one breast might become larger or lower than the other.
Skin texture - such as puckering or dimpling of the skin
Appearance or direction of nipple - e.g. one nipple might be turned-in
Discharge - one or both nipples might discharge a blood-stained liquid.
Rash or crusting - of the nipple or surrounding area
Lump - in the breast or armpit
Lumpy area or unusual thickening of breast tissue that doesn't go away after the period
Pain in part of the breast or armpit that is unrelated to periods.
And don't forget you guys reading this - 1% of breast cancers are found in men, so you need to check yourselves, too.
- Look - you know that nothing folk tell you on Yahoo Answers will give you peace of mind. And nobody can possibly advise you - you HAVE to get it checked out by a doctor. Only then will your mind be put at rest.
- Don't listen to anyone go and see a doctor
- Well my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago and she had no lumps or anything and they only found it after a routine mammogram so ide get myself checked by a doctor to be on the safe side.
