I think I have breast cancer. Any early signs?

What should I do besides the obvious: go 2 the doctor?

  1. Well I pray that you dont. You know some times before your monthly your breast will become tender and swell and feel as if they have knots. For more information i would try searching yahoo health. Thats a great web site.
  2. ill have to see for myself.
  3. hard knots or lumps in you breast and tenderness
  4. going for a mamogram will help
  5. I don't know the symptoms, but go to the doctor as fast as you can... don't play with your life!
  6. hard lumps...
    irregular tenderness...
moles that were never there before, or have gotten bigger...

    Get a checkup
  7. your right....get straight to the doctors a.s.a.p. or you'll stress yourself out until you do.
  8. Do a self breast exam by raising one arm and using the other to feel your breasts to see if you feel any abnormal lumps. Women can develop benign cysts that shrink and grow with the onset of your period. Younger women tend to have more fibrous breast tissue that can feel lumpy. If you feel any lumps that you haven't before, go to your doctor. They may opt to do an ultrasound of your breast rather than a mammogram. Ultrasound is better at visualizing masses in fibrous breasts.

Also look out for breast tenderness, abnormal discharge from the nipples. Also check under your armpits. You have lymph nodes there. If cancer is present and has spread, those lymph nodes will be large. Absence of large lymph nodes doesn't mean that cancer isn't present or hasn't spread.

If your really concerned, you should go to your doctor. I The doctor may blow it off if your a younger patient but young woman can get breast cancer, rare but it does happen.
I would insist on getting an ultrasound.
  9. Go to your doctor NOW. Signs are discharge from nipples, dimpling of the skin, hard masses under the skin, and swollen lymph nodes, especially near the armpit
  10. Well when you get out of the shower or something go to the mirror and check around to see if you have lumps, swelling, tender spots etc. But you still might want to go to the doctors! Cancer can spread you know.
  11. Although most breast lumps (about 80 percent) are benign, you will not be able to tell on your own, if your lump is harmless. I am not sure why you sound like you are hesitant to see a doctor. In most county's Department of Public Health, Paps and mammograms are provided at low or no cost to qualifying women. The earlier you find out what you are dealing with, the better off you are. I would rather have a lumpectomy and go on with life than to have a mastectomy, radiation, and then still die because I let a lump go unchecked.

Having said that, the signs and symptoms are:

a lump or thickening of the breast
A spontaneous clear or bloody discharge from your nipple
Retraction or indentation of your nipple
A change in the size or contours of your breast
Any flattening or indentation of the skin over your breast
Redness or pitting of the skin over your breast, like the skin of an orange http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/breast-...
BUT, remember that benign (non cancerous) processes can produce some of the same symptoms.
  12. did you find a lump??? you need to go to the dr and checked it checked. dont be scared, i'm going through the same thing right now. you will have to get a mammogram and ultrasound and you should find out before you leaave the dr.

    i hope this help
